Hi visitors, first of all I want to thank you for visiting my site! I would like to discuss my experience in visiting and being a part of the 1st Annual Multicultural Hair Show and Competition. It was held in Augusta, GA, at the Belair Conference Center off of Belair Road. I decided to be a vendor instead of participating in the competition.
I made my “How To Cut The Ultimate Fade” video in 2007.
I also notice that there are several barbers that use the technique (Black Ice with a razor edge line) to lock down customers. The technique is a bald fade, or any haircut for that matter. Then spray black temporary dye on the tape line, using a square piece of cardboard to prevent the overspray from appearing on the skin. Finally, apply shaving gel and apply a razor edge line, outlining the black.
I enjoyed participating as a vendor. It was more of a fashion show than anything, therefore there weren't a lot of prospects who needed the DVD. I sold one, and that was through my portable credit card machine, which I thought was pretty cool. Now, they worked me to death with the haircuts. I ended up cutting most of the performers and models for the hair show at a lower rate of pay, which I didn't mind doing. I started around 10:00 am cutting and didn't stop until 4 pm. The rest of the time I promoted my DVDs and my barbershop.
Have a great day, folks.
